OK – maybe the title overstates it a bit….lots of jobs are great jobs. However, in my long and varied experience as an educator, the very best job for me has been that of Educational Developer. As well as in my current job in this role at Thompson Rivers University, I’ve done it in K-12, where we call it “Curriculum Coordinator” or something similar – I’d never heard of the job title until I came to a university. However, the duties and function are the same – supporting colleagues in their instruction. This song celebrates the work of all Educational Developers – post secondary or K-12.
